Magnet Alignment
Occasionally speakers require repair to the magnet structure.
This can be due to:
- Loss of magnetic charge over time
- Impact damage can cause a magnet pole-piece to shift off-center and seize the voice-coil. This will need a complete re-cone as well as magnet repair
- Oxidisation – rust never sleeps. If oxidisation is present, it can get into the speaker’s structure. This causes the glue under the center pole to deteriorate. We have seen magnets completely separated due to oxidisation.
- We can charge your speaker back up, reposition shifted pole-pieces and rebuild your speakers. Almost any speaker can be repaired.
